During the pandemic, people’s consumption habits have been changing, accelerated by technological changes. Consumers have become more online, valuing more comfort, practicality and well-being during the period of social isolation.
And, if all sectors of the economy have been affected in some way, the real estate market was no different, since these changes had an impact on business models. “Today, this change in consumer habits has led to a boom in businesses focused on logistics, in so-called Last Mile ventures, where the goal is to have logistics warehouses close to metropolitan areas, and now we are seeing the growth of dark kitchens, restaurant kitchens that will not physically exist, they will only be delivery companies”, comments Claudio Hermolin, CEO of Primaz.
